When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication provider details (e.g., Google OAuth). When you use our services, we collect usage data including search queries, AI feature interactions, and reading history to improve your experience.
We use your information to provide and improve LyscoNews services, personalize your news feed, process billing through Stripe, send email digests you have opted into, and maintain security of our platform.
When you use AI features (Ask AI, Analysis, Perspectives), your queries are processed by Anthropic Claude. We do not share your personal data with AI providers -- only the content of your query and relevant news context is sent for processing.
We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI features), and Resend (email delivery). Each processes data according to their own privacy policies.
News stories are retained for up to 30 days. Your account data is retained until you delete your account. Usage analytics are aggregated and anonymized after 90 days.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You may also export your data or close your account through the Settings page.
We use essential cookies for authentication and theme preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
